COLLABORATIVE TRUST Religious Orders in Education

We have met monthly since September 2019. We have had productive discussions with the CES, and COR has also been supportive of our work.

In the first year of the project, we drafted the vision, mission, purpose and the guiding principles of a collaborative trust, together with its vision and guiding principles for education.

We presented these to members for consultation in July 2020 as the July 6th Proposal.

In the second year of the project, we divided into two sub-groups – legal and financial -and began researching these aspects of a collaborative
trust.

We presented our preliminary findings at the December plenary of members to ascertain their views.

In the third year of the project, September 2021 to September 2022, we will establish final agreements to proceed from the appropriate authorities and then launch the Trust.

Our preliminary findings are shared with members at the termly plenary meetings.

We would like to thank Mervyn Williams SDB for his invaluable and generous service to ROE during these first three years since our establishment. We wish him blessings in his new ministry and know he remains a firm supporter of ROE. We also thank our new Executive Committee for being willing to serve for the next three years and in particular we welcome Ben Hanlon DLS to the team.
